Description

POST DATE: JULY 4, 2025

“Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife.”
-Kahlil Gibran
Do you believe in the power of music to inspire, connect, and transform communities? Are you a skilled arts administrator who’s ready to play a lead role in growing support for one of Canada’s most storied performing arts organizations?
At the Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO), we deliver more than performances - we create moments that stay with people for life. As we expand our reach and deepen our impact, we are seeking a Manager, Artistic Administration to help drive a new era of organizational growth. This is a career-defining opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to something truly enduring.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Artistic Administration is the operational linchpin behind every RSO performance, ensuring that artistic dreams translate into seamlessly delivered concerts. Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with cross-departmental colleagues, the Manager, Artistic Administration orchestrates all guest-artist logistics, maintains the OPAS orchestra operations software database, and oversees the librarian. The role also assists with artistic planning and scheduling, box office support, as well as front-of-house concert and outreach event support.
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative position for a detail-driven problem-solver who thrives on juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced orchestral environment, always with the goal of delivering exceptional experiences for musicians, patrons, and the wider community.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in music or equivalent knowledge
  • Proficient software skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with database and project management systems, including OPAS and/or Spextrix is a plus.
  • Experience with project management in an arts environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently while under strict deadlines.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills.
  • A strong appreciation for the performing arts, particularly live orchestral music.

ADDITIONAL GENERAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE YOUR AGREEMENT TO:

  1. Hold a valid driver’s license from the Province of Saskatchewan.
  2. Provide the RSO a Criminal Record Check (and every 36 months thereafter).
  3. Read and understand the RSO’s Health and Safety Protocols.
  4. Work evenings and weekends.
  5. Reside within a reasonable commuting distance to/from Regina due to the onsite nature of the work.
