ABOUT YOU

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  • Significant experience in asset sustainability leadership, with proven track record in developing and executing asset sustainability strategies.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and working with diverse stakeholders to drive asset sustainable practices.
  • Demonstrated evidence of achieving asset sustainability outcomes in a complex environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant asset sustainability frameworks, regulations, and best practices, with the ability to translate them into actionable strategies and outcomes.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THIS ROLE

With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the alignment of the Net Zero Roadmap with other statewide health strategies to improve environmentally sustainable health outcomes for the people of NSW.
Caring for our communities and creating a future for all, NSW Health is passionate about providing high quality healthcare to our patients supported by our clinicians, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals all playing a crucial role in developing modern high quality, low carbon models of care.
The role will establish the reporting measures and tools for achieving Net Zero and decarbonisation policy requirements relevant for NSW Health buildings to include Green Building Council of Australia Green Star ratings, Green Lease, and assess the feasibility of using the NABERS Energy and Water for Hospitals tools across all sites
Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $145,378 - $168,130 p.a. plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Developing the delivery of NSW Health’s asset and facilities sustainability programs to achieve improved environmental and sustainability outcomes.
Ensuring that asset sustainability objectives are clearly defined and integrated into NSW Health core strategies, operations and long-term planning.
Developing key performance indicators to measure the success of asset sustainability initiatives and report transparently to stakeholders.
Interacting with internal and external agencies to ensure conformance with Policies and Frameworks and sharing of best practice, staying informed of asset sustainability trends and drive innovation in asset sustainability practices.
