[What the role is] Purpose of Job: You will play a crucial role in driving the strategic planning and development of innovative models to enhance Singapore’s food reserves management. Your work will contribute directly to ensuring the country’s food security by formulating and implementing strategies that enhance the resilience and sustainability of our food supply networks. [What you will be working on] Duties: In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and driving strategic initiatives that ensure the effective management and development of Singapore’s food reserves. You will collaborate with internal divisions, external stakeholders, and government agencies to deliver impactful solutions that address key food security challenges. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop strategic frameworks for effective and efficient management of food reserves, including contributing to the development of reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management. Develop and review policies, reports, and proposals related to food reserves, ensuring alignment with national food security goals. Engage and explore industry partnerships for innovative and cost-effective solutions. Review existing food reserves management practices and provide actionable insights to improve service levels, reduce risks, and increase operational efficiency. Work closely with internal divisions and/or inter-agency to formulate and implement strategies for managing potential disruptions in food supply chains, ensuring continuous preparedness and resilience. Perform ad hoc duties as required by your supervisor. [What we are looking for] Requirements: Experience in strategy development, supply chain operations or related fields, with a focus on long-term planning and policy development. Background in economics, procurement, contract management, logistics, or operations is advantageous. Proven ability to engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry players, and academic institutions, to drive collaborative solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex challenges and develop strategic recommendations. Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
