POSITION SUMMARY

Our growing firm is looking to add a key member to our team. As an Audit Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the engagement, from planning to completion.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • 3-5 years post designation of relevant work experience in public accounting
  • Minimum 2 years review of audit, review and compilation engagements, including tax compliance.
  • Extensive knowledge of ASPE and ASNPO.
  • Experience with tax compliance preparation and/or review (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T5013, T5018, GST, etc.).
  • Dedication to proactive thinking, integrity, precision execution and providing value-focused service.
  • Experience with accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, TaxCycle, Sage and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities
  • Perform initial review of audit, review, compilation and other assurance engagements.
  • Produce financial statements that comply with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) and Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO).
  • Provide coaching to junior team members as well as timely constructive feedback.
  • Responsible for engagement budgeting and allocation.
  • Monitor engagement progress against budgets and timelines.
  • Assist in the review of tax compliance filings (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T5013, T5018, GST, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain trusted client relationships including responding to client questions and inquiries.
  • Contribute to development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes whilst working directly with partners.
