And we’ve been doing it for over 170 years.    If we do our job well, we genuinely add to the prosperity of our country and its people.    The Manager - Bank Advisory, Financial Crime Risk is responsible for providing Line 2 advisory support and independent challenge to Bank, Lending & Everyday Banking, and Finance & Treasury teams. The role supports effective interpretation and implementation of financial crime regulatory and policy requirements, strengthening control effectiveness, governance outcomes and risk management practices.   Through specialist expertise and pragmatic advice, you will support risk-informed decision-making, regulatory change implementation and the consistent application of AML/CTF obligations across the business   How will you make an impact Regulatory Interpretation & Change Implementation * Monitor and interpret emerging regulatory requirements and industry developments impacting financial crime risk  * Translate regulatory and policy changes into clear, practical advice for Bank, Finance and Treasury teams  * Represent AMP in industry forums and working groups, providing insights to inform internal strategy and implementation   Business Advisory & Change Support * Act as a key Line 2 escalation point, providing advice and independent challenge on financial crime risk matters  * Support financial crime risk in change initiatives, including AML Change Assessments (CAAML) and project delivery  * Provide review and challenge on fraud and scams strategy and business-led initiatives  * Contribute to forward planning, ensuring visibility of regulatory, policy and risk assessment impacts   Risk Assessment, Governance & Oversight * Review and challenge Line 1 risk assessments to ensure financial crime risks are appropriately identified, assessed and mitigated  * Provide oversight of issues, incidents and remediation actions to ensure timely and effective closure  * Contribute to governance forums, including FCCC, Risk Committees and operational forums  * Support AMLCO and AUSTRAC reporting, ensuring business-specific matters are accurately captured and evidenced   Stakeholder Engagement & Communication * Build strong relationships across Line 1, Operations and senior stakeholders to support consistent risk outcomes  * Provide clear, practical insights, translating regulatory change into business-relevant actions  * Support enterprise communications and forums to uplift awareness of financial crime risk   What you will bring to the role  * 5+ years’ experience in financial crime advisory, compliance or risk management within financial services, consulting, audit, law or regulatory environments  * Strong understanding of AML/CTF obligations, regulatory expectations and Line 2 risk frameworks  * Banking and/or Wealth Management experience essential  * Experience translating regulatory requirements into practical business implementation  * Strong stakeholder management and governance experience, including committee reporting   Qualifications * Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Law or related field * Relevant qualifications in compliance, risk or financial crime highly regarded   Who you are You bring strong technical financial crime advisory expertise, with a deep understanding of AML/CTF obligations, regulatory frameworks and Line 2 accountabilities. You have experience interpreting complex regulatory requirements and translating them into practical business actions, supporting implementation across banking, treasury or financial services environments, and applying risk management frameworks to provide evidence-based oversight and challenge. You demonstrate strong execution and ownership, operating as a self-directed contributor with accountability for end-to-end delivery of complex workstreams. You prioritise effectively, manage competing demands and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a strong focus on governance and control effectiveness You bring sound judgement and influencing capability, with the confidence to provide independent challenge and engage senior stakeholders. You translate technical risk issues into clear, commercial advice and communicate effectively through governance forums, including committee and Board-level reporting. You are proactive, analytical and collaborative, with strong attention to detail and a focus on outcomes.
