QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post Secondary degree, certificate, or diploma related to the humanities, or education or high school completion and a diploma in an area such as Management, Volunteer Development, Community Development, or Community Social Services or comparable work experience.
  • 3 to 4 years working in all aspects of program service area; community development; one to two years’ experience in program management; implementing organization policies and procedures; working with immigrants and refugee children and families from different ethno-cultural minority communities
  • Ability to communicate individual client and community issues to funders and community partners
  • Able to work independently and lead a team

Responsibilities
  • Provide overall coordination and planning of deliverables (outputs and outcomes)
  • Supervise and support the work of program workers of BC Alliance for case management to support the work of program activities.
  • With input from alliance partners and senior manager, lead and implement alliance priorities.
  • Plan and facilitate Alliance Meetings across all levels of staff
  • Coordinate the consistency of tools and practices for use by alliance member agencies.
  • Determining needs of Alliance members, plan and organize trainings for Alliance agency staff.
  • Ensure delivery of the Program is consistent and professional
  • Ensure timely, consistent and relevant communication with Alliance member agencies including sharing of reports, minutes, training information.
  • Supervise the promotion and marketing of all program related activities
  • Work closely with the Alliance Member Agencies at all levels
  • Participate/lead team, partnership, departmental, all-staff, and relevant community meetings, in-service training, and other training as assigned
  • Working closely with Alliance agencies to ensure collaboration and progress on alliance priorities as set out in terms of reference and strategic plan
  • Maintain working knowledge of emergent issues
  • Coordinate the development of innovative services and resource materials that support member agencies
  • Assist the senior manager to identify funding sources
  • Participate in ensuring development and submission of proposals and budgets for new and existing programs in a timely fashion
  • Work with the senior manager and the Finance Department to ensure financial integrity and accountability for the Program
  • Assist the senior manager and Finance Department to prepare contract budgets
  • Monitor contract budgets, cash flows, variances, financial statements, reports, and expense records
  • Assist the senior manager in ensuring program expenditures fall within limits established by the contract agreement
  • Assist the senior manager in providing financial information on request and during financials audits and monitors
  • Act as a resource for community organizations, stakeholders, and partners to collaborate with MOSAIC to build capacity for immigrant and refugee communities
  • Work in partnership with community organizations and stakeholders to organize and coordinate public education/information/resource events
  • Attend consultations, meetings, and conferences on issues relating to settlement, newcomer labour market integration, community development and connections, and policy dialogue
  • Compile reports and service statistics for the senior manager on emerging issues and community trends, developments in case management, and funder-related feedback
