JOB SUMMARY:

Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Business Applications Manager, based at our Montreal refinery and reporting to the Director, IT. The Business Applications Manager will contribute to Lantic’s success by participating in the growth and transformation of the applications team. He/she will be responsible for providing general, high-quality support to internal users of the IT system. The incumbent leads a team involved in developing and implementing the overall strategy and operating model for business applications, as well as assessing changes and risks related to these systems.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • University degree in computer science or industrial engineering;
  • Experience in personnel and supplier management;
  • Experience with the implementation of manufacturing ERP systems;
  • Experience in application process design management.
  • Experience with implementing BI solutions;
  • French/English bilingualism (spoken and written) in order to be able to communicate with both our English- and French-speaking sites;
  • Versatility and great autonomy;
  • Developed sense of customer service;
  • Ability to work in a team and to good pressure management;
  • Available to travel occasionally.
Responsibilities
  • Implement the planning strategy, provide innovative solutions and provide support in business applications;
  • Analyze the organization’s current applications based on user needs in order to implement a strategic and advanced plan to coordinate the transition and refinement of the applications portfolio;
  • Be responsible for maintaining and evaluating the entire applications portfolio while ensuring an efficient schedule for essential upgrades and updates;
  • Ensure the quality of the integration of business applications and production management systems with other IT systems;
  • Define the team’s execution objectives for assigned projects and communicate these objectives;
  • Follow up on incidents and requests from users and ensure compliance with service levels;
  • Define and monitor team execution objectives for his/her team’s projects;
  • Work with suppliers to deliver quality service and complete projects on time and on budget;
  • Manage the documentation of business applications.
