As Manager Business Control, you play a key role in the further development of Growers United. You are a strategic sparring partner for the Board and management, helping to steer the organization based on return, predictability, and data-driven insight. You translate figures into concrete choices and ensure that financial and operational information is actually used to better manage the business.

 Analyzing the playing field, assessing external investment opportunities, and facilitating growth and financing issues for members of the cooperative also form an important part of the role. By connecting insights and identifying opportunities, you help the organization remain future-proof and realize strategic ambitions.

You work closely with colleagues from Finance, ICT, Business Analytics, Operations, and Commercial, and are the connecting link between strategy and execution.

What will you be doing?

In this versatile role, you will translate strategic and tactical issues into concrete solutions and guide improvement initiatives that move the organization forward. You will collaborate with various departments, taking the initiative to ensure that ideas are actually converted into results and concrete solutions.

Your duties include, among other things:

• You advise the Board of Directors and management on strategic and business issues.
• You translate strategic objectives into concrete improvement initiatives, business cases, and implementation plans.
• You initiate and guide organization-wide projects in collaboration with various departments.
• You assist with investment issues by drafting business cases and providing insight into opportunities, risks, and the expected impact.
• You provide guidance on strategic issues related to expansion, investment, and development, applying your knowledge and skills in the financial field. You also serve as the point of contact regarding M&A matters.
• You analyze business processes and identify opportunities to work more efficiently, smarter, and future-proof.
• You connect various stakeholders within the organization, create support for changes, and monitor the progress of improvement initiatives and strategic developments.
• You monitor developments within and outside the organization and translate these into opportunities for innovation and business development. You are also capable of taking initiative to translate these developments into concrete plans and implementation.

What do you bring?

We are looking for a strong discussion partner who knows how to connect strategy with execution.

✅ University-level working and thinking skills, preferably in Business Economics or Finance

✅ At least 8 years of relevant, broad work experience within Business Control

✅ Experience managing teams

✅ Broad experience with strategically setting up and executing/managing projects. Preferably, you have also done this within M&A processes.

✅ Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting, forecasting, and KPI management

✅ Affinity with supply chain processes and business operations

✅ Experience within a production, logistics, or agricultural environment is a plus

✅ Experience working within a cooperative landscape is a plus

✅ You are strategic, entrepreneurial, results-oriented, and focused on innovation and improvement. Additionally, you are able to maintain a helicopter view in complex situations.
