If you are looking to excel and make a difference, take a closer look at us… Internal Job Description Responsibilities Responsible for developing and overseeing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policies, frameworks and procedures, as well as reviewing and appraising established ones as, and when necessary, within Business Corporate Banking (BCB); Formulate recommendations and requirements for customer action while incorporating into applicable internal and customer related documentation in BCB; Implement and manage BCB’s sustainability strategies / initiatives; Coordinate with lines of business and functions to drive business growth in sustainable finance-unlocking the potential in businesses via ESG led initiatives; mitigate sustainability risk, and provide internal and external thought leadership in ESG and sustainability; Drive the implementation of different sustainability topics, ensure implementation of policies and deliver on targets; Monitor the ESG performance of assets under BCB and participate in local regulatory sustainability development; Work closely with various teams within the Bank to promote HLB / BCB brand in community business and sustainability and to ensure compliance to reporting standards and responsible for the preparation of annual ESG & Sustainability reports for BCB; Develop and rollout sustainability events such as capacity building programs and stakeholder engagement programs as part of the team’s broader marketing efforts; Being a sustainability counterparty to stakeholders regarding internal and external communication and events; Responsible for identifying and unlocking opportunities of ESG in businesses which will serve as a key differentiator for the Bank and provide high value add to customers; Be the driver for simplification, standardization and automation of business processes (ESG related) to improve costs savings, operational controls and performance of assets; Responsible to facilitate / contribute regional collaborative efforts, where applicable. Requirements: Degree in Finance / Economics / Commerce / Engineering, Environmental Management or relevant field. Certification in GRI and/or knowledge in TCFD would be advantageous.
