We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow, to work within our Business Development, Marketing and Brand Management teams. This multi-faceted role suits someone with brand licensing experience, with a keen interest in global brands as well as consumer, retail and industry trends.

Responsibilities

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (50% ROLE)

  • Supports the solicitation and acquisition of new clients for Beanstalk
  • Research and identify potential new clients, categories and trends
  • Prepares and participates in brainstorming efforts for new and potential clients
  • Participates in the preparation of documents for new client outreach and pitches, including capabilities decks, case studies, thought starters etc.
  • Attends pitch meetings as appropriate and prepares and distributes Meeting Reports
  • Monitors and updates the Global Business Development status reports and actively participates in Global Business Development calls across offices
  • Contributes to consulting projects including research which may include trends, category landscaping and potential partner identification as well as partner outreach

BRAND MANAGEMENT (30% ROLE)

  • Responsibility for managing licensees and generating new business for a global brand(s)
  • Daily Licensee/Client management including participation in calls and meetings
  • Coordination and tracking of all licensee product development and approvals
  • Ongoing governance of licensees to ensure contractual requirements are being met
  • Tracking, monitoring and analysis of royalty reports
  • Internal quarterly budgeting and forecasting
  • Working closely with licensees to expand product, territory, and retail opportunities
  • Developing sales materials
  • Research product markets, industries, categories, and trends
  • Sourcing and pitching prospective new licensees
  • Negotiating commercial terms, finalising legal contracts, and managing contract process flow

MARKETING (20% ROLE)

  • Responsibilities include assisting with the implementation of various marketing initiatives
  • Supporting management of Beanstalk’s social media account and website, working closely with our New York – based marketing team
  • Coordinating industry award submissions
  • Managing our annual trade show preparation
  • Public Relations activity consists of writing press releases and assisting with the development of thought leadership.
  • The candidate should be comfortable working with all levels including senior management and will be working closely with our New York-based marketing team.
