Job Summary: Leads the administrative and clinical direction of the care management departments with an operational focus, setting strategy, objectives, and policies. Leads department activities through managers and supervisors, including full human resources, cost and financial accountability. Establishes operational objectives for the department including work plans and delegating assignments to team. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required * Master's Degree: Preferred * Seven years' technical experience: Preferred * One year experience as a social worker in a behavioral healthcare setting: Preferred * Five years' leadership experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: * Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in state of practice: Preferred Essential Functions: * Assures that clinical staff resources and assignments are consistent with meeting patient care needs. Determines qualifications and competence of departmental personnel who provide patient care and services. * Ensures performance evaluations for all staff are completed with meaningful feedback within established time frames. * Ensures that effective patient education is occurring through observation of unit clinicians. * Participates in the development and presentation of clinical programming within the scope of licensure. * Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by regulatory agencies. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
