Description

Position Summary:
Arts & Science is seeking a talented Manager to join the Center for Social Media and Politics (CSMaP). This individual will serve as the operational leader for CSMaP, providing comprehensive oversight of all administrative, financial, and programmatic functions for the Center. Maintain the financial and operational excellence of the Center while thinking strategically about developing robust systems for future developments. Oversee budget and personnel management, manage pre- and post-award grant administration, execute programs and events, and implement communications strategies. Support fundraising efforts.
Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

3+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include operations management and experience with budgeting and/or grant management.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience supervising staff, working with funders and/or fundraising, and managing grants reporting. Experience in higher education, research, government, or non-profit environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Ability to provide advice, problem solve, and interact with individuals at all levels. Excellent interpersonal and writing skills. Strong proficiency working with tools such as Google Sheets / Excel, as well as generally high comfort working with a variety of project management tools (e.g., Google Drive, Slack).
Additional Information:
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $120,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
