Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate must be located near a Canadian Blood Services site and will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field of expertise in change communications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in change communications, with a focus on change management or internal communications in a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and how communication plays a role in managing transitions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with digital communication tools and intranet platforms.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a regular full-time Manager, Change Communications to join our dynamic Communications team in our Donor Engagement and Corporate Reputation division.
The Communications team empowers and motivates individuals to join Canada’s Lifeline by creating engaging content, building brand affinity, and preserving confidence in Canadian Blood Services.
As the Manager, Change Communications you will play a pivotal role in driving effective communication strategies in service of Canadian Blood Services’ strategic priorities and organizational transformation agenda. You will work closely with the corporate communications team, change management function within People, Culture and Performance (PCP) and Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) and senior leaders across the business. You will be responsible for the development and execution of communications strategies to enable clear, valuable, and timely information to employees as well as other internal/external impacted stakeholders. You will also be responsible for supporting work aimed at fostering a culture of reliable, transparent and supportive change management at Canadian Blood Services during a period of unprecedented growth.
