This role provides leadership to staff, ensures high-quality program delivery, and fosters strong relationships with key stakeholders. Aligned with the Organization’s Strategic Plan, key priorities include supporting the growth and sustainability of licensed child care, enhancing program offerings, and maintaining a positive, inclusive environment for children and families.    Major Responsibilities- in this position, you will: * Provide leadership to multiple licensed child care programs, ensuring a culture of respect, inclusion, and appreciation for diverse backgrounds and experiences within the community. * Foster an environment that promotes cultural safety and inclusiveness for staff, children, and families. * Coach, develop, and support program leaders and frontline staff to achieve excellence in service delivery. * Ensure programs meet all regulatory requirements, including Provincial Licensing Legislation, and align with organizational standards. * Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and donor-funded initiatives to support program sustainability. * Actively contribute as part of a collaborative management team to advance the organization’s mission and strategic priorities. * Maintain focus on achieving operational targets related to annual plans, budgets, fundraising, grant proposals, and special projects, while ensuring programs operate at full capacity.   Qualification-you bring: * Minimum of 5 years successfully leading teams of staff or volunteers, with a focus on coaching and development. * Post-secondary education in a related field; a university degree is preferred. Early Childhood Education Certificate (ECE) considered an asset  * Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, including strong business writing skills. * Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse and marginalized communities and building strong stakeholder and partner relationships. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Experience in fundraising and grant writing is considered an asset. * Valid First Aid certification required. * Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references  * Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.    About YMCA BC: By igniting belonging and championing health equity, YMCA BC strengthens the foundations of community.
