Position Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Manager of Cit y Projects where y ou will spearhead the planning, e x ecution , and management of ke y projects crucial to the development and growth of our community. As the Manager , you will oversee operational planning , financial management, stakeholder relationships , risk m a nagement, and more , en s uring the successful delivery of projects that positively impact our city . You will focus on the modernization of the City’s enterprise solutions. These solutions include but are not limited to our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, Oracle e-Business Suite, our Work Order & Asset Management System, Oracle WAM, and our corporate point of sale system, Payment Manager. Through upgrades/replacements of these solutions, we will modernize business practices, improve overall effectiveness, and implement efficiencies to better leverage the technology and the associated resources. You will lead the coordination and planning of these multi-phase modernizations of the City’s key enterprise solutions. Key Duties & Responsibilities Contribute to the development of long-term planning and annual plans for the department and broader city project s. Lead t he development and implementation of annual operational plans. Manage project budgets , conduct financial forecasting, and ensure compliance wi t h financial management prac t ices. Foster positiv e stakeholder relationships by providing guidance and advice to community repres e ntatives and partners. Provide le a dership and mentor s hip to project team staff , conduct performance planning, and monitor team productivity . Proactively identify and mi t igate operational risks, ensuring adherence to safety standards and corporate initiatives. Oversee project m a nagement practices , conduct evaluations , and prepare r e ports for stakeholder s . Key Qualifications Proficiency in core management practices , including program/service delivery , budgeting , and human re s ources . Experience in m a naging and implementing projects , including coordination with internal and external parties . Strong understanding of project management principles and concepts , l e gal, financial, and procurement issues . Knowled g e of m a rketing , communications strategies , a nd project evaluation processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively . Change management skills to address resistance to change and build consensus .
