THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

We are excited to bring on a Manager to join our Dedicated Social Security team supporting Group Protection.
This position will manage a team and processes for their assigned Social Security team. You will oversee a team responsible for assisting claimants through the Social Security application process. You will work together with several partners, such as Claims and Vendors, to successfully apply for and secure SSDI benefits. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Lead and mentor a team of 8-10 Social Security Specialists responsible for the Social Security application process, including the timely addition of offsets and collaboration with the Recalc team on overpayments.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture to maintain unity and teamwork across the organization.
  • Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assess impact, and collaborate with peers and senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.
  • Identifies and communicates trends and issues to management. Develops mitigation plans and recommends processes for team to improve productivity and accuracy.
  • Monitor and evaluate overall metrics for team productivity and take appropriate action to meet or exceed standards.
  • Complete regular quality audits of assigned area(s) of responsibility; record results and coach staff to work bring work to or above standards.
