About the team: Manage this fast-paced customer facing team as the first point of contact for derivative clearing within the Markets line of business. This role is responsible for the operational clearing environment and processing of all exchange traded and OTC derivative products within the Australian market. You will champion superior customer service to our clients globally, when they need it, in line with our strong regulatory focus. As the leader of the team, you will have responsibility for the implementation and ongoing support of new products and services in line with the ASX strategy, which have a direct impact on the Australian financial markets. The Market Operations team sits within the Markets Line of Business (LoB) and comprises of 4 teams including the Market Announcements Office, Surveillance, Trading Operations and Clearing Operations. Markets is one of the four LoB's at ASX and operates as an integrated business (designing, selling, delivering and running its products/services), working in alignment with the other LoBs and closely with ASX's Centre's of Excellence (technology and delivery) and expanded Customer function. The Markets LoB has primary accountability for ASX and ASX 24 Markets licenses, ASX Clear (Futures) and ASX Clear (ETO's) license and the Benchmark administrator license. What you will be doing: How we do things at ASX is just as important as what we do. Day to day management of the real time post trade clearing operations function ensuring all tasks and checklists are completed with proper risk management and within deadlines Lead the team providing support and direction to staff including performance feedback, mentoring, and ensuring compliance with ASX Policies and Values Provide first line support of ASXs derivative clearing systems including Genium, DCS & Calypso. Ensure the team meets regulatory obligations and compliance with the ASX Operating Rules Engage and service a diverse range of stakeholders inclusive of exchange participants, brokers, custodians, system vendors and regulators. Lead the identification and implementation of process improvements to reduce operational risk, enhance the customer experience and develop technical change What you will bring: Must have Previous management experience in a fast-paced deadline driven operational environment Extensive knowledge of the Australian Financial Markets and related products At least 5 years experience in ETD/OTC back office Experience leading a customer facing team offering exceptional service Understanding of the Post Trade Environment, knowledge and awareness of ASX post trade business processes and systems Nice to have: Report writing for senior management with content focussed on operational analysis and commentary Experience with project implementation Exposure to back office operations in capital markets, bank treasury, custodian or a broking firm.
