As a Manager within the Client Development pillar, reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be a key analytical contributor, providing essential support to the Senior Manager, Director, and Global Head of Client & Banking Analytics. Your primary focus will be to execute data-driven analyses, develop insights, and prepare reports that support the strategic development and evolution of Omnia and CME. This role involves hands-on application of data, technology, and analytical skills to enhance client engagement, optimize frontline activity, and contribute directly to the strategic roadmap of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB)’s internal platforms. You will work closely with coverage bankers and product sales teams, translating complex data into actionable insights that drive business development and improve performance reporting. As our Manager, Client Development you will: Conduct in-depth analysis to support client segmentation, prioritization models, and strategic account planning frameworks. Develop and deliver client-centric insights and tools that optimize CIB frontline performance and decision-making Focus on "conduct analysis" and "develop and deliver" specific insights, supporting the Senior Manager's "lead and execute initiatives." Generate, maintain, and deliver regular, robust business performance reports and dashboards, analyzing key client metrics, commercial outcomes, and trends Utilize and leverage CIB-specific platforms (Omnia, CME) and other internal/external data sources to conduct bespoke, ad-hoc analysis and special projects. Contribute to platform enhancements by identifying data needs and reporting improvement Prepare clear, concise, and impactful presentations and analytical summaries for the Senior Manager, Director, CIB leadership, and the Global Head of Client & Banking Analytics. Actively engage with coverage bankers and product sales teams to understand their analytical needs Support the development and dissemination of valuable insights and knowledge products that accelerate business development efforts Actively contribute to a culture of collaboration across CIB, strengthening partnerships through effective analytical support You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling) and PowerPoint (for executive-level presentations) Proficiency in SQL for data querying and extraction Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to develop impactful dashboards and reports Familiarity with CIB-specific platforms like Omnia and CME, or similar CRM and business intelligence systems Solid understanding of Corporate, Investment, or Transaction Banking products, client segments, and experience with business reporting or performance analysis Solid experience in business analysis, data analytics, client insights, or a similar analytical role, preferably within Corporate, Institutional, Investment, or Transaction Banking Solid understanding of financial concepts, including credit risk, revenue drivers, capital allocation, and return metrics (e.g., RWA, RoRWA, RoTE) Prior frontline relationship management or trading desk experience is preferred but not required As an HSBC employee, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities to ensure you have the right skills for today and tomorrow.
