Job Description The Role The Manager – Commodity Resiliency supports the development and execution of Tier-N resiliency plans within an assigned commodity. The role focuses on data analysis, coordination, execution support, and reporting, working under the direction of SMT Resilience Leads, Senior Analysts, or Managers. This position is suited for candidates with a foundation in supply chain, analytics, or purchasing who are developing cross-functional execution skills. What You’ll Do Prepare summaries, metrics, and materials for SMT reviews and leadership updates Support the development and maintenance of Tier-N resiliency plans for assigned commodities or components Assist SMT resiliency leads and task forces with execution activities including mitigation tracking and banking actions Analyze resiliency data to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and risk indicators Maintain and update resiliency databases, trackers, and dashboards ensuring data accuracy Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Supply Chain partners to track resiliency milestones Support read-across activities by identifying similar risks and escalating findings Follow established resiliency processes and escalate risks or blockers as appropriate Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or related field 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, project/program management/account management or engineering Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance from senior team members Growing understanding of Tier-1 to Tier-N supply chain risk concepts Ability to recognize trends or risks and escalate with supporting data Comfort working in a matrixed, cross-functional environment Willingness to learn enterprise resiliency frameworks and execution models Works under direction of SMT Resilience Leads, Senior Analysts, or Managers Executes defined workstreams rather than owning end-to-end strategy Escalates recommendations rather than independently approving mitigation actions May own specific data sets or trackers but not full commodity strategy GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
