Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant experience working in a dynamic, high performing communications or marketing function in a large or complex organisation.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of communications, marketing and digital best practice and trends, including digital and traditional channels, as well as media engagement.
  • Proven ability to strategically engage and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels through effective communication.
  • High-level problem-solving capability to resolve or escalate issues or queries.
  • A tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or similar.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a strategic and passionate communications leader looking to make an impact in the education sector?
An opportunity exists to join the Academy as the Manager, Communications and Marketing to lead a team of communications, digital and marketing experts to deliver on the organisation’s objectives.

As the manager, will be responsible for leading the CM team to create transformative communications and marketing strategies that raise public awareness of the capability and status of school leaders and teachers, build brand, and support registrations into professional learning programs. This includes:

  • Leading an Academy wide communications and marketing strategy and providing specialist expertise in creative and impactful communications practices.
  • Leading a high performing team to deliver exceptional service, providing insight to opportunities for improvement in processes and system enhancements
  • Effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities for alignment of activities that offer mutual benefit.
  • Project management and oversight of planning resulting in the production of audience appropriate content across multiple platforms and channels to drive engagement.
  • Utilising evidence, data and metrics to inform effective business planning and reporting.
  • Acting as a thought leader and expert advisor on communications, marketing and digital best practice.
