POSITION OVERVIEW

Are you a strategic communicator with a passion for storytelling and meaningful engagement? We are seeking a Manager, Communications and Marketing to lead internal and external communications, elevate brand awareness, and manage our digital presence. In this dynamic role, you’ll help amplify the voices of our programs, promote culturally inclusive initiatives, and ensure consistent, impactful messaging that reflects our mission and values.
Reporting to the Executive Director, People and Culture, the Manager will oversee a broad portfolio of communications activities, including branding, events, advocacy, and public awareness campaigns. This role leads integrated marketing efforts across digital and print platforms, manages media relations, and supports both virtual and in-person events. Key responsibilities also include content creation, social media strategy, graphic design, and coordination with external vendors. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for website maintenance, analytics reporting, and ensuring all communications meet established approval protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree or college diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, journalism, or a related field, along with 2–4 years of relevant experience—or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
They have strong content development skills across multiple platforms and excel at engaging diverse audiences while building collaborative relationships with community partners. With a solid understanding of web tools and social media, they possess proven project management abilities and can lead integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies that support awareness, engagement, and fundraising goals.
The candidate is proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Premiere, Illustrator, and Photoshop). They also bring practical experience in DSLR photography and video production. A resourceful and self-motivated professional, they excel in collaborative, team-based environments and demonstrate strong communication skills, keen attention to detail, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information. With proven strengths in proofreading, copy-editing, and producing high-quality, polished content, they are a valuable asset to any mission-driven organization.
This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
