General Characteristics Responsible for the activities in the areas of production, data control, operations, and operations support. Develops and implements standards, procedures and processes for the operations group. Plans and manages the support of new technologies, data center performance and reliability. Defines and negotiates service level agreements. Oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the operations center. Provides input and recommendations regarding business continuance issues and improvements to the operations of systems and processes supported. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Experience: A minimum of 7 more years of IT work experience including managing team(s) responsible for production and operations support. Breadth: Middle level management in data center operations. Works under general direction of senior level management. Typically manages and mentors supervisors, project leaders and/or technical staff. Works on multiple, complex projects as a project leader and a subject matter expert.
