About this role
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of activities in the designated area, ensuring alignment with project goals, efficient resource utilization, and successful project delivery.
In this role you will

Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, execution, and completion of area-specific projects to align with organizational goals and project objectives.
Create and deliver project plans/scopes, schedules, and budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation and timely delivery.
Lead and organize the activities of project teams, offering guidance, support, and performance feedback to drive impactful productivity and quality. (Resource Allocation - Ensuring that all necessary resources are available and properly allocated.)
Performance Monitoring: Tracking project progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and generate regular status reports for the Director, Projects.
Identify and solve project risks, establishing corrective actions and contingency plans as needed.(Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. - also consider opportunities)
Lead and role model safety systems execution, compliance and review. Actively track performance, respond to trends and action completion compliance .
Establish effective communication with team members, including clients, senior management, and partners, to drive transparency and alignment on project goals and progress. Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to drive seamless project execution and integration.
Quality Assurance: Overseeing the quality of work to ensure it meets the required standards. Drive compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and company policies and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Budget Management: Monitoring and managing project finances to ensure adherence to the project budgets, investigate expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Post-Implementation Review: Conducting a review after project completion to evaluate success and identify lessons learned.
Your training, skills and experience checklist
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or electrical. At least 10 years of experience in a similar role showcasing robust technical expertise in executing mining or large heavy industry projects. Demonstrated leadership in overseeing large-scale operations and successfully delivering significant underground development projects. Proficient in project management, with a strong grasp of budget management and schedule adherence.
Skilled in both contractor and owner miner settings, possessing strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and advanced documentation skills. Proficient in written and verbal communication, experienced in project control software like MS Office Suite and MS Project. Capable of leading construction teams, managing priorities, and working within financial constraints. Demonstrates leadership, critical thinking, and the ability to integrate diverse teams while aligning with project and corporate goals. Effective at interpersonal communication across all organizational levels and departments.

Working Conditions and location
The position will require travel to appropriate locations (Mostly Cajamarca/Site and Lima) to support the Water Treatment Project scope.
The position will require periodic living in the Yanacocha camp.
The person must be in good health and physical condition to work in the field in different climatic conditions and at altitudes of 4,000 meters above sea level.
The incumbent may be required to travel and assist other sites nationally and internationally.
The position is an On-Site role 9 days on-site, 5 days off.
