PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in Accounting, Finance or Economics, preferred.
  • You have a minimum of 7+ years in public accounting firm or within an accounting department, demonstrating a proven progression in complexity, scope, required.
  • You have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), required.
  • You have experience using Caseware, preferred
  • You have knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday, Munis, Incode, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects

Responsibilities

As the Manager of our CAAS Government Team, you will lead a team of consultants and accountants to provide accounting and advisory services to various organizations. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, overseeing project delivery and quality, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will also contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the firm by identifying new business opportunities, developing proposals, and participating in industry events and networks.

  • Lead and manage complex projects related to accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and performance improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to clients on accounting standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of consultants and accountants, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with partners, directors and senior managers across the firm on cross-functional and cross-service line initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging trends, issues, and challenges in the accounting and consulting industry.
  • Demonstrate leadership, integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the firm’s values and mission.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and check staff performance levels, ensuring that work is carried out within set deadlines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Responsible for the development, coaching and training of all levels of staff.
  • Participates in reviews and evaluations of consulting professionals.
