Position Summary    King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) was founded as a non-profit institution to advance Saudi Arabia’s energy sector and inform global policies through evidence-based  advice and applied research. It brings together national and international group of experts and consultants to maximize the economic impact from energy sector.  KAPSARC fulfills its mission by:   Providing advice to the Saudi energy sector by leveraging the Center’s analytical capabilities and expertise  Producing internationally recognized applied research, tools, and data to impact global policymaking  Incubating distinctive talent for the advancement of the Saudi energy sector  Using KAPSARC's unique foundations and resources for novel initiatives that maximize institutional impact    The Consulting department performs and manages engagements with stakeholders in the energy sector through leveraging KAPSARC’s distinctive thought leadership, expertise, solutions, and strategic partnerships. Consulting department aims to be the trusted partner for making lasting positive impact in the energy sector of Saudi Arabia.    The Consulting department has several openings for high-caliber professionals who have consulting experience, passion, or ambition to build up their knowledge on energy & sustainability topics, as well as develop their professional and interpersonal skills.    Major Responsibilities  Support the Director in the delivery of multi-stakeholder projects with best-in-class project management capabilities, tools, and techniques.  Dissect complex problems, adopt hypothesis-driven approaches, conduct pragmatic data-driven analyses, synthesize findings, and prepare top-down presentations with a clear storyline.  Participate in the scoping of requests and lead the execution of particular project work streams.  Take ownership in leading the delivery of certain workstreams.  Provide solid business judgment to derive answers in situations where data is not easily available or explicitly published.  Manage and provide coaching to Jr. analysts when needed  Take responsibility for identifying information sources, gathering data, generating insights, and present findings in the most suitable format.    Qualifications and experience  Qualification  Bachelor´s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or any other related field. Master’s degree such as an MBA is preferred.  Experience & Knowledge & Skills  6+ years of relevant experience and proven track record of delivering client centric projects. Experience in the energy sector and/or consulting is highly preferred.  Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills.  Experience with basic research and analysis, such as markets intelligence, economic and financial analysis, and drafting business briefings.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Strong interpersonal skills.  Comfortable working within a multicultural, multidisciplinary setting  A team player with the ability to inspire others.  Has a growth mindset, and a ‘cand-do’ attitude  Fluent in English (Arabic is not required but is preferred)
