ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Director, Workforce Operations, Communications and Contracts as a member of the Management team within the North region of the Child Intervention Division, the Manager, Contracts and Procurement, provides strategic leadership and oversight. The Manager will lead the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of a strategic procurement plan and ensure the administration of contracts align with policy expectations. The Manager will support the delivery of high-quality services to all regional programs and projects across the province.
This position is required to be sensitive to and aware of the political nature of procurement and the administration of grants and/or contracts and ensure that the process is managed in a way that is consultative and collaborative with our community stakeholders and advocacy bodies. It will be essential that this position and its team have strong connections to finance, quality assurance, and management teams and to have strong knowledge of programs. You will be working closely with various internal and external stakeholders, the position ensures that effective, efficient, and transparent procurement processes and activities align with government and ministry mandates, legislation, policies, procedures, and standards. The position is accountable for the planning, tendering, award, administration, monitoring, and evaluation, grants and contracts spanning all divisional programs.
