How will you make an impact in this role? Manager - Basel Endgame, Documentation and Controls. Global Regulatory Reporting and Treasury Controllership is part of the Global Controllership organization. The US Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for managing and delivering US regulatory filings for American Express. This individual will join the Basel Reporting unit of the US Regulatory Reporting team to lead the efforts on understanding and documenting the requirements for the Basel Endgame. The position will involve close interactions Treasury, AET and FRQA as well as Regulatory Reporting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Document current Basel standard operating procedures, process flows, risks and associated controls. Interpret and document Basel Endgame regulations to ensure reporting requirements and associated data elements are captured appropriately. Work closely, coordinate, and collaborate with various Subject Matter Experts and External Reporting leaders to identify and document the impact of Basel Endgame on regulatory reporting. Drive implementation of Basel Endgame analytical reporting processes, procedures and systems using the Company’s control framework. Support projects which will including partnering with AET to implement the proper reporting environment to address Basel Endgame regulations. Document Basel Endgame standard operating procedures, process flows, risks and associated controls. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Accounting / Reporting / Auditing. Graduate degree, CPA/Chartered Accountant or similar qualification, preferred. Prior Regulatory/Federal Reserve/SEC/External Reporting and banking/financial services experience preferred. Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated environment. Strong understanding of U.S. Regulatory and U.S. GAAP requirements. A self-starter, proactive team player with a passion to consistently deliver high quality service and exceed customers’ expectations. Ability to lead, coach, develop and promote talent. A quick learner with superior problem-solving skills, who is focused on generating efficiencies and continuous process improvements. Ability to manage multiple priorities, drive projects, and work well under tight deadlines. Strong written/oral communication, relationship building, presentation and collaboration skills. Proven ability to effectively interact with all levels and stakeholders of an organization including senior leadership/officers, as well as with external regulators and auditors. Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
