Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage key client relationships and provide a full range of advisory services including technical support, board support and governance and best practice advice.
  • Co-ordinate responses to queries on Corporate Secretariat-related regulatory matters, processes and timeframes.
  • Manage a team of junior staff, providing ongoing technical guidance and contributing to team training sessions.
  • Contributing to business development activities, with support and guidance from Senior Management, including attending meetings with potential clients and preparing proposals.

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Governance Institute of Australia qualification (Company Secretary) and/or tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, or related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Corporations Act and corporate governance principles, with legal qualifications being a plus.
  • Great attention to detail and excellent communication skills with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Leadership skills with a collaborative mindset and willing to share your knowledge with a skilled tea
