SUMMARY

Catholic Charities is looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as the Manager of Counseling Services. The Manager of Counseling Services will oversee our counseling program, offering direct client services and leading a small team of three to five counselors. This role blends clinical leadership, program development, and direct client care, all in line with our organization’s mission and values, to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. Approximately 75% of the time in this position is dedicated to client work, with the remaining 25% allocated to management responsibilities. The caseload for this position is approximately 15 appointments per week.
A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related mental health field is required. Candidates must be licensed professionals in the State of Indiana, with licensure such as LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC. A minimum of three years of clinical counseling experience is required.

Responsibilities

· Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive counseling program that serves the diverse needs of individuals, couples and families. Including:
o Monitor program outcomes and recommend changes and improvements as appropriate to effectively meet community needs.
o Recruit, train, coach and manage a small team three to five of licensed counseling staff members ensuring adherence to ethical standards and best practices, such as the NASW Code of Ethics. This involves participating in
weekly case reviews with direct reports and facilitating regular team meetings for collaboration and learning.
o Manage the intake process, including making necessary referrals.
o Establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures to ensure ethical, high-quality care.
· Provide direct mental health services to a case load of approximately 15 appointments per week. Including:
o Develop, with the client, counseling plans, goals of care, and objectives based on the particular needs of each client.
o Document work with clients in a timely, concise, and accurate manner to ensure compliance with program standards. Ensure all client charts are complete.
o Provide appropriate contacts with referral sources and community agencies to ensure continuity of care.
· Complete continuing education requirements of the agency and appropriate professional organizations to maintain state licensure.
· Represent Catholic Charities with community organizations and parishes, as appropriate and directed, to provide and enhance communication, collaboration and partnerships.
· Collaborate with leadership to secure funding, resources, and partnerships to support program growth.
· Occasional travel to satellite offices (within ~60 mile radius) for meetings with counseling team members, which typically occur once a quarter or less.
· Master’s Degree in Social Work or related mental health field.
· Licensed Professional in the State of Indiana. Licensure may include LCSW (preferred), LMFT, or LMHC.
· Three years of clinical counseling or similar experience.
· 1-2 years of supervisory, managerial experience preferred.
· Knowledge of and/or experience with needs and identification of abused and neglected children and adults, child development and individual/family functioning.
· Sensitivity to diverse cultural, religious and economic groups.
· Good time-management and organizational skills.
· Valid Driver’s License.

In addition to the specific duties and responsibilities shown above, the counselor is responsible for complying with policies and procedures established by Catholic Charities in administration, supervision, and delivery of services.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
