Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Country Controllership for our operations in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial controllership activities for our Malaysian entity, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate policies. Lead and manage the country finance team, providing guidance and mentorship to develop a high-performing finance organization Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and regulations Develop and implement robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the Malaysian entity Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure alignment with corporate financial strategies and objectives Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to both local authorities and corporate headquarters Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations Stay updated on changes in Malaysian financial regulations and accounting standards, ensuring ongoing compliance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree preferred Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) Minimum 8-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations Proficiency in financial management and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems Solid understanding of internal controls and financial risk management Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is a plus Additional Information Life at Grab We care about your well-being at Grab, here are some of the global benefits we offer: We have your back with Term Life Insurance and comprehensive Medical Insurance.
