ABOUT THE ROLE

As Manager Credit Risk, you’ll be a key leader within Origin’s Credit & Collections Leadership Team, responsible for enhancing and executing our credit risk and fraud prevention strategies. This role is critical in protecting Origin’s customer portfolio by designing and implementing robust frameworks, tools, and controls that prevent bad debt and fraud.You’ll lead a dedicated team focused on enhancing our risk and fraud capabilities, ensuring alignment with compliance standards while delivering efficient, customer-first solutions. This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role, partnering across the business to drive continuous improvement, reduce cost to serve, and maintain high-quality, compliant operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Origin retails credit risk and fraud prevention strategies to minimise exposure and protect the customer lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement of fraud detection and credit risk tools and frameworks across platforms and channels.
  • Oversee technology capabilities (e.g., ID/credit checks) and operationalise risk grading to guide onboarding decisions.
  • Ensure all risk and fraud activities comply with regulatory requirements and deliver on budgeted business outcomes.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support seamless execution.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and delivering excellent customer experiences.
