Expectations of the Role: The Customer Data Quality Assurance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of customer data across our enterprise. As part of the multidisciplinary Customer Master Data Management team, you will work in a dynamic global environment with 24/7 operational coverage to strengthen data integrity, enable trusted, data-driven decision-making, and support operational excellence. Partnering closely with the Customer Data Processes and Transformation Manager, you will lead efforts to audit and improve data quality, while evolving governance frameworks, controls, and standards that scale with the organization. Responsibilities include: Leadership & Team Development: Align with company strategy, goals, and policies Promote a culture of quality, accountability, agility, and continuous improvement in partnership with the Customer Data Management managers Coach and mentor team members on data quality principles, analytical thinking, and problem-solving Support performance evaluation, training needs assessment, and hiring initiatives for analysts and specialists Data Quality Management & Operations Conduct proactive audits of customer data to identify risks, gaps, red flags, and necessary corrective actions across systems, workflows, and projects Develop, enhance, and monitor data quality metrics and dashboards to ensure transparency and effective reporting Lead or support root cause analysis of recurring data errors or process failures, and implement sustainable corrective measures Respond promptly to data exceptions and quality-related issues or complaints Governance & Compliance Drive compliance with company policies and global regulations by translating requirements into actionable initiatives and strengthening quality controls Facilitate or support governance reviews, quality clinics, lessons learned sessions, and project post-mortems Serve as subject matter expert on company governance committees and initiatives Data Transformation & Innovation Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, emerging technologies, and external data sources to enhance data quality and usability Coordinate customer data migration preparation activities for S/4HANA What You Will Do: Success in this role will be measured through: Strategic alignment and execution Operational excellence and service reliability Effective communication and influential leadership Stakeholder confidence and collaboration Continuous improvement in data accuracy, completeness, and consistency Sustainable issue resolution Professional responsiveness Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related field with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 8 years. Proven track record in defining metrics to drive improvement Demonstrated experience establishing or operating within data governance frameworks and/or audit environments Experience leading or influencing cross-functional teams in a data or quality environment Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced operational environment Qualifications We Prefer: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to guide teams, influence, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders Experience developing and managing data governance frameworks, including standards, policies, processes, controls, and work instructions Experience designing and implementing data quality monitoring frameworks, dashboards, and operational controls Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools, with high attention to detail and accuracy in data handling Experience in Master Data Management (MDM) or related data governance roles Certification in data management (e.g., DAMA) or strong knowledge of the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK) Familiarity with Global Trade, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and data privacy regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Awareness of cybersecurity principles and their impact on data integrity and protection Shifts/Work Hours: Day Shift: typically 9:00-16:00 IST on-site, on weekdays, with 2 hours of remote work to support EST meetings or training On call support: availability outside standard hours for urgent issues.
