Description

The Manager, Data Analytics plays a strategic and hands-on leadership role focused on advancing KUBRA’s data analytics capabilities. This includes managing a team responsible for data engineering, analytics, and insight generation, while aligning organizational goals with analytics objectives. The role is pivotal in developing data-driven strategies and fostering quality, innovation, and efficiency in analytics-focused projects. This role also collaborates closely with Product Management to align engineering efforts with the company’s business goals, ensuring innovation, efficiency, and quality in the product development lifecycle.
This is a hybrid opportunity in Mississauga, ON.

WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED?

  • Experience in GenAI and ML, reflecting a forward-looking approach to emerging technologies.
  • 8–10 years in engineering, data analytics, or related roles, with at least 2-3 years in leadership.
  • Proven expertise in cloud-based platforms and data technologies, including AWS (EC2, S3, Redshift), SQL, and modern BI tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks is essential. Familiarity with Snowflake is highly desirable
  • Strong command of Agile practices with a proven ability to lead teams in dynamic and iterative environments
  • Proficiency in ETL pipeline automation, data modeling, and BI tool configurations (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, AWS)
  • Strong project management skills, with demonstrated abilities in Agile environments.
  • Excellent written/verbal skills, as well as the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Leadership aptitude with a history of building, motivating, and inspiring diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Cloud-based architectures
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes and Docker
  • Leadership and management skills – the ability to attract, retain, motivate, mentor, and develop team members to perform to their highest potential
  • Project management skills – the ability to plan and manage successful projects; including managing risks, costs, time, and roadmaps
  • Excellent organization, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Responsibilities
  • Lead the team in achieving strategic goals and departmental objectives while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and manage regular roadmap deliveries, ensuring high-quality execution of data-driven projects.
  • Foster an environment that emphasizes trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data lakes, warehouses, ETL processes, AI/ML analytics capabilities, and models aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Promote the implementation of automated reporting and analytics workflows using SQL, AWS, and visualization tools like Looker and Power BI.
  • Contribute to the code and architecture of a highly concurrent, high-throughput system on the AWS cloud
  • Collaborate with internal SMEs and external clients to identify, assess, and deliver meaningful analytics outcomes.
  • Manage and mentor team members, providing constructive feedback, professional development, and performance reviews.
