BRIEF OVERVIEW:

This role involves overseeing the development team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Development Manager to lead our data platform scrum teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, and a passion for delivering high-quality data solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of IT experience in data warehouse domain and projects, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience building data pipelines and knowledge of cloud data warehouse (DWH) technologies.
  • Experience building reports and a good understanding of end-to-end data warehousing projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance on best practices and career development.
  • Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to design and implement robust and scalable software solutions.
  • Work closely with product managers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity and software quality.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and adherence to development guidelines.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and team performance to senior management.
  • Work with team members to resolve blockers and issues, providing technical guidance and contributing as an individual contributor when required.
