The Manager, Data Governance is responsible for developing the vision and strategy for data governance and for implementing the initiatives to ensure data risks across the Bank is managed and remains compliant with required regulatory and compliance obligations. This will include providing oversight of the Data Governance function across the Bank and assisting Treasury as the SME on Treasury related data governance.

Responsibilities
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data Governance within Banking
  • Hands-on experience developing and implementing data governance vision and strategy
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Working knowledge of CPG235, CPS234, Privacy Act, BCBS239, GDPR, or other data-related regulationsKnowledge of Banking, including Treasury

  • The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and drive outcomes both with and without formal authority. They thrive in fast-paced environments, bringing a strong sense of urgency and a focused, goal-oriented mindset to every challenge.
    We are seeking an individual with demonstrated experience in Data Governance within the Financial Services sector. The candidate should have a deep understanding of compliance requirements and data risk management, particularly within Banking and Treasury contexts.
    This person will excel at delivering results through excellent analytical thinking and will be highly effective in both written and verbal communication, adept at conveying complex information with clarity and precision.
