SUMMARY:

Kestra is seeking a strategic and customer-focused Data Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our enterprise big data platform. This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives on solving complex problems with innovative solutions, driving business impact with data, and collaborating across the organization to deliver on key objectives.
As the data product manager for our core data platform, you will build out the foundation for powering analytics, data products, and AI use cases across the firm. You will lead a small team of product owners, while also being hands-on with strategy, stakeholders, and scrum team engagement, and delivery. You will work closely with data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to prioritize work that matures our product capabilities, aligns with company goals, and delivers measurable value.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, this individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

  • Partner with leadership to align the data platform roadmap with corporate objectives, then define and manage an outcomes-based data platform roadmap, outlining business cases that drive user value and deliver positive ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, technology, finance, operations, marketing, sales, and compliance, to support and streamline end-to-end data processes and accessibility for all Kestra business channels.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, gathering feedback to prioritize features and improvements that maximize value for financial advisors.
  • Set, monitor, and report on platform KPI’s, driving adoption and identifying opportunities to retain or grow the customer base and improve stakeholder sentiment.
  • Lead and develop a team of Product Owners and a Business Analyst dedicated to Kestra’s enterprise data platform to provide clear guidance to the scrum teams, ensuring successful delivery of product enhancements in an Agile environment.
  • Ensure alignment, adoption, and advancement of product management practices for delivery planning, backlog management, requirements gathering, and sprint management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES: To perform this job successfully, the individual should have the following skills and abilities:

  • Proven ability to lead product vision, strategy, and execution in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial advisory businesses, wealth management, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with data platforms, actionable insights, and incorporating advanced analytics or AI into product roadmaps.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing and mentoring product teams, fostering collaboration, and driving accountability.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Naturally curious and committed to continuous learning, with a desire to stay at the forefront of product and technology trends.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to map and optimize user journeys, ensuring seamless and intuitive experiences that align with customer needs and business objectives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Yes, Product Owners

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Analytics, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product and leadership roles.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred
  • Financial Services/Wealth Management industry experience is a plus
