Job Description Visa is seeking a dynamic Product Manager to lead the development and management of foundational data assets that power Visa’s data-driven ecosystem. This role reports to the Director of Data Production Services within the Global Data Office. As a Product Manager for foundational data assets, you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for one of Visa’s most critical data platforms. Your mission is to drive enterprise-wide adoption, optimize technology platforms, ensure data quality and governance, and accelerate the rollout of revenue-enabling data products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, data science, business intelligence, privacy, and governance—to deliver high-quality, trusted data products that enable diverse use cases across Visa. In addition, you will engage with business stakeholders to understand pain points, gather feedback, and articulate clear value propositions. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of payment data, influence strategic initiatives, and drive innovation at Visa Essential Functions Develop and implement product strategies for foundational payment data assets consistent with business needs and company vision Manage the core payment data product backlog and roadmap, aligning with the overall data strategy and business objectives. Spearhead the transformation of data systems, embracing cloud solutions to enhance scalability, agility, and cost-effectiveness Experiment with new tools and technologies that can further enhance the capabilities and performance of our data assets Champion cloud adoption and integration of synthetic data solutions across enterprise systems. Communicate the foundational payment data product vision, value proposition, and roadmap to internal stakeholders, including senior executives, and business partners. Work closely with Data Science and AI/ML teams to understand their data requirements, ensuring foundational data assets are optimized for model training and deployment Collaborate with global and regional partners to understand market-specific needs ensuring our foundational data assets are tailored to support local and global business requirements Collaborate with privacy and governance teams to ensure that the core payment data products comply with relevant policies, standards, and regulations. Support the migration of users and applications to abide by compliance requirements and facilitate the adoption of core payment data products across Visa. Liaise with other business units, product leaders, engineering and other applicable groups to ensure flawless execution This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 7 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or with a PhD degree Preferred Qualifications 8-11 years of work experience and a Bachelors Degree or 4 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of experience with a PhD. 5+ years of experience in business or technical product management with strong data engineering or data science background Strong product development skills with a sound understanding of payment technology and other ecosystem requirements Prior experience with managing data product development in the banking or payments industry with an understanding of payments industry data is a plus Experience with Big Data & Cloud technologies, Hadoop, Databases and SQL Experience with agile and lean methodologies, and experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with engineers, analysts, and business partners Familiarity with synthetic data generation techniques, machine learning models, and cloud technologies. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to align cross-functional teams. Aptitude to collaborate with engineering teams to build robust, reliable and scalable payment solutions Ability to think creatively to solve problems Experience and knowledge of Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices Advanced degree desirable Additional Information Visa is an EEO Employer.
