Manager, Digital Project Systems Delivery

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • A relevant number of years of related experience, with a preference including substantial experience in leading Agile digital projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing complex digital engineering applications and guiding teams towards successful project delivery.

SKILLS:

  • Expertise in Agile Scrum software development and its application in project delivery systems.

    This role represents a significant technical understanding of digital project delivery but also strategic leadership in Agile product development and a strong business orientation to maximize the value of digital solutions within KBR.
Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

Primary role is to be assigned to a project team and lead the delivery of digital solutions and application on the project to a data centric way of working. This will require the ability to liaise with the corporate digital engineering team along with assessing and reporting value opportunities. This role emphasizes a deep understanding of the business value of projects or programs, with a focus on diagnosing problems, working with the corporate team to develop solutions, and determining if solutions can be procured off the shelf or require custom development.
Produce and drives implementation of complex Digital Execution Plan and associated technical digital documentation across a project, leading and interfacing with multidisciplinary design teams. Additional specialisms across programming and use of API’s and digital twin type technologies. Specialist application of software architectures, how Common Data Environments are applied and may include complex hardware configurations. An understanding of advanced techniques and developments (AI/ML) with experience in agile development of applications, pipelines, testing across multiple programming frameworks.
Deep understanding of engineering design, and how the multiple dimensions of data 1D-8D and potential beyond are bought together in an integrated model. Knowledge of Systems engineering and associated experience in the management of information and data are helpful.
Skills are typically acquired through a degree in Engineering and a relevant number of years of experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the evaluation of project requirements and system capabilities to provide advanced digital solutions, ensuring alignment with functional strategy and global policies.
  • Lead as a business owner in Agile product development for internal digital solutions, leveraging knowledge of Agile Scrum software development practices.
  • Act as a senior technical advisor to project or program leaders, driving the strategic integration of digital tools and systems to enhance project outcomes.
  • Accountable for the performance and results of related disciplines or functions, setting the direction for functional strategy and policy development.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and performance of subordinate personnel, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence in line with KBR’s strategic objectives.
