Locations In this role you can work from Remote, Australia Overview GitHub is seeking a Manager to help lead our APAC based Digital Sales team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coaching and leading a strong Sales team towards delivering the best experience to our customers and driving usage of GitHub. They will guide their team on executing on customer opportunities in a timely manner while participating in regular strategic planning for their assigned territory. They will coach their team across all aspects of the sales cycle and support the team to identify potential business while ensuring the end-to-end business of the assigned territory. Owns the development of the digital transformation business strategy. Leverages understanding of customer business and engages GitHub decision makers to drive customer's strategy, goals, and optimization. In addition, this role has people management responsibilities including driving employee growth and development, executing projects, and managing performance. Responsibilities Account Management Manages the execution of strategies for assigned accounts to ensure engagements yield high-volume sales,drive plans to increase revenue potential, and open new opportunities for both GitHub and the partners,aligned to goals, budgets, and/or forecasts. Leads, challenges, and inspires team to focus on top prioritiesand challenges to drive business case. Leverages deep industry expertise to anticipate industry direction, ecosystem, and transformation. Supervises a team of junior account managers. Leverages knowledge of mapping prospects and buyingprocesses to advise and support the team in helping new buyers navigate deals to closure. Works withteams to identify deal stakeholders, mobilizers, and blockers, ensuring sign-off on deals. Guides team toachieve outcomes and drive overall account management. Territory Planning Leads the development and application of a mature/dynamic customer plan detailing critical insights andnew business opportunities aligned to customer priorities. Leads and coordinates a diverse and high-performing team and key stakeholders (e.g., industry experts) on plan execution (e.g., prioritization, delegation) and drives accountability to deliver on account plans and grow the account. Customer Engagement Proactively owns and elevates a transformative customer stakeholder engagement strategy to foster customertrust and brand growth and loyalty. Sets organizational tone for building and maintaining long-termstrategic customer relationships and for driving larger impact for the customer. Proactively defines andexecutes governance model to ensure mapping across seniority levels. Owns the development of the digital transformation business strategy for assigned accounts that is based oncustomer's expected outcomes and GitHub's added innovative value, and opens doors to new opportunities grounded in deep understanding of industry trends, customer needs, and final consumer perspectives. Anticipates marketchanges to drive new industry-relevant cloud solutions to customers. Brings greater ecosystem together withthe customer to discuss how to enrich customer's value to their customers. Sales Excellence Leverages understanding of customer business and engages GitHub decision makers to drive customer'sstrategy, goals, and optimization. Engages and influences decision makers of the account (e.g., C-level, high-impact customers) on GitHub's vision, strategy, and value, and positions GitHub to increase customer's budget allocated to GitHub, tailor solutions that satisfy customers' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Translates features into business outcomes that accelerate the customer's industry needs. Uses business cases to develop and present compelling value proposition presentations and specializedbusiness plans for customers that showcase GitHub's products and solutions to connect decision makers inthe account to the broader GitHub solutions, provide thought leadership to guide others on tailoring presentations, and generate new opportunities. Advocates internally to promote the relevance of GitHub'sexpertise for the customer. Creates and qualifies new opportunities by identifying highly strategic opportunities (e.g., very large, long-term, high-impact) within accounts and guiding the customer on how to best identify new opportunities,leveraging deep customer and industry relationships and consultative selling skills. Drives new businessopportunities across the team by creating a partner ecosystem, and empowers team members to find newopportunities by acting as a role model and by setting a clear vision and energy for the team to drive towards. Implement processes & tools to help improve the productivity & efficiency of Digital Sales Manage strategy for exceeding group quotas by team. Forecasting and pipeline management of the region. Shape, iterate, and scale our sales strategy, taking initiative to improve the team's practices, tools, and content. Leadership Provide leadership, development, and training to the APAC Digital Sales team. Hire, onboard, and promote amazing talent. Sales Execution Build relationships and provide value and attention to customers. Drive net new customer acquisition and upsell of the GitHub platform in existing accounts. Coach, mentor, and develop all individual members on your team. Scaling and Collaboration Work collaboratively across sales, engineering, marketing, channel, product and customer success.
