Job Summary
Provides day-to-day guidance to the inside sales team focused on delivering SaaS solutions to automotive dealerships and repair shops. Blends the efficiency of inside sales with occasional in-person engagement, including attending trade shows and visiting customer facilities to strengthen relationships with key accounts. Manages a high-volume sales pipeline, coaching a team of representatives, and driving consistent revenue growth in the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manages and leads a team of Direct Sales representatives targeting franchise dealerships and multi-location dealer groups. Sets individual team goals and expectations, provides ongoing coaching and feedback, and completes formal assessments on performance. Helps team members with solving for complex and/or escalated issues, and removes roadblocks as needed.
2. Drives high-volume sales activity via phone, email, video conferencing, and periodic in-person visits to key accounts and industry events. Sets clear objectives and priorities for effective territory management.
3. Monitors and optimizes sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including call volume, conversion rates, deal velocity, and quota attainment.
4. Collaborates with Marketing and Product teams to ensure messaging and feature positioning align with the needs of the automotive aftersales market.
5. Ensures the team effectively communicates the value of our SaaS platform, such as parts sourcing, repair network optimization, and inventory management. Supports sales representatives in closing deals and identifying upselling opportunities across the full suite of OEConnection products.
6. Develops and continuously improves sales processes, scripts, and playbooks tailored to the automotive vertical.
7. Provides accurate sales forecasting and performance reporting to senior leadership.
8. Recruits, onboards, coaches, and develop sales talent with a focus on consultative selling and industry expertise.
9. Monitors sales trends and implements strategic action plans to support growth across all product lines.
10. Ensures team compliance with CRM documentation standards and data hygiene best practices.
Education
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in Sales, General Business, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.
Experience
At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in SaaS sales is required, along with proven success managing inside or transactional sales teams in a high-volume environment, plus at least 2 years of management experience with responsibility for leading a team of direct reports.
