ABOUT THE ROLE

NSW Reconstruction Authority is seeking a strategic and agile leader to join us as Manager, Disaster Adaptation Plan Coordination (DAPCO). In this high-impact role, you’ll lead complex planning initiatives that strengthen disaster resilience across NSW, with a focus on the Northern Rivers. You’ll drive cross-sector collaboration, manage key stakeholder relationships, and ensure strong governance frameworks underpin the program.

  • Lead the development of the Northern Rivers Disaster Adaptation Plan, ensuring strategic alignment and stakeholder collaboration within defined scope, timelines, and budget.
  • Manage project delivery, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and governance, while promoting policy compliance.
  • Develop targeted engagement approaches in partnership with regional teams and communications specialists.
  • Work closely with technical experts, councils, and agencies to embed data-driven insights and hazard analysis into planning processes.
  • Monitor and mitigate project risks and reputational concerns, providing timely guidance and strategic advice to the Director.
