QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • 3-5 years of supply chain experience required including, purchasing, data collection, reporting and inventory management
  • 3-5 years experience managing employees
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft platforms such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent customer service skills

Preferred:

  • A degree strongly preferred
  • PeopleSoft experience desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Manages facility supply chain staff and activities for designated supply areas within the facility. Facilitates onboarding and department orientation of new hires and the ongoing training of all staff to achieve maximum staff productivity using automated systems to reduce supply chain expense. When needed, coordinates training needs with the site supply chain director and the RWJBarnabas Health supply chain educator.
  • Responsible for supply chain personnel time and attendance in the RWJBarnabas Health attendance tracking module. Ensures attendance is recorded accurately and timely.
  • Oversees daily receiving, distribution, linen, warehouse, and storeroom operations and adheres to facility and corporate policy regarding all receiving procedures and standards
  • Works with the site supply chain director to ensures all corporate KPI s are meet or exceeded.
  • Manages PARs to achieve PAR optimization and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI s)
  • Maintains the integrity of the perpetual inventory by adhering to policy and procedure related to perpetual inventory management including but not limited to auto replenishment, cycle counts, physical inventory, expensing and crediting.
  • Responsible for improving efficiencies including but not limited to receiving, storage and supply expenses
  • Works with clinical resource director (CRD) to identify clinically acceptable substitutes for backordered and discontinued products.
  • Identifies cost savings opportunities.
  • Oversees and reviews current department practices to assure system policies and procedures are being followed. Documents that all staff are reviewing the supply chain policies & procedures loaded on The Bridge , annually.
  • Responsible for enforcing and adhering to supply chain policy for expired goods. Records and documents any and all supply waste captured. Monitors expired and short dated items to avoid waste and financial loss. Reports this information to the site supply chain director monthly.
  • Conducts documented daily and monthly audits for survey readiness relevant to RWJBarnabas Health, DOH and TJC standards. Documents findings and reports to site supply chain director. Reviews findings with staff to identify areas for improvement
  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for special projects, including training support in PeopleSoft.
  • Tracks and monitors all recalls of supplies through the recall tool and other notifications. Collaborates with risk management to identify items by department following the RWJBarnabas Health Policy on recalls.
  • Understands and administers Tissue Tracking Policy
  • Execute approved conversions in a timely manner. Communicates changes to staff and end users, changes PARs and labels within 14 days of notification.
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage (walls, ceiling tiles, etc.)
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
