Description
Working location: Kai Tak, Kowloon Employment Duration: 24-month contract   Responsibilities:  * Be core members of CLP Community Support Team on roster, along with other colleagues, and responsible for timely informing relevant colleagues about power incidents to facilitate prompt communication with relevant stakeholders and site attendance on prolonged outages * Formulate stakeholder engagement plan, and develop and implement initiatives (e.g. educational programmes for community and other stakeholders) to mitigate the risk of power incidents * Establish strong relationship with district governance and community stakeholders to facilitate close communication and handle their requests, opinions and feedback * Organise on-site caring work, if needed, which covers, but not limited to, set-up of portable power charging stations and lightings, dispatch of relief items, collaboration with community stakeholders, patrolling on building floors, etc. in case of occurrence of power incidents   * Organise precautionary work, e.g. drills of CLP Community Support Team and advanced preparation work in face of adverse weather, and coordinate with other departments for participation * Closely coordinate with different parties, both internal and external, to maintain proper inventory and functioning of portable power charging stations, lightings and other relief items at different strategic storage locations to ensure readiness for usage whenever needed, and arrange replenishment timely * Research and procure appropriate relief items and caring gears as an enabler to timely provide caring service to the affected customers   * Devise materials for stakeholder communication events and internal reporting usage.  Requirements:   * A recognised university degree in Social Sciences, Engineering, or Communications disciplines  * At least 8 years of experience, preferably in Public Relations, Community Relations or related discipline. Candidate with less experience may be considered to a lower grading  * Willing to work on roster throughout the year  * Driving licence is preferable  * Solid knowledge and experience in communication with and handling of community stakeholders and customers  * Excellent analytical, presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills  * Good business acumen and a good understanding of political environment and social sentiment in Hong Kong  * Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills, and ability to perform multitasking  * Self-motivated, able to work under pressure at irregular hours and meet tight deadlines  * Excellent language command in both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua  * Good computer skills such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoints  ABOUT CLP CLP was founded in Hong Kong in 1901, at a time when electricity was still a novelty worldwide.
