JOB STATEMENT:  The Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for all assigned team members and chain accounts. Primary responsibility includes promoting CWOC brands through leading and training a team that builds business through selling in wine displays, wine placements and performs merchandising duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Motivate and train team members on a daily basis to CWOC standards * Work with assigned Merchandisers on a weekly basis * Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff * Implement merchandising plans to increase sales on priority items * Educate retailers on brands and maintain a good rapport with them * Review assigned Merchandisers reports and make sure they are current and correct * Implement ongoing goal execution for all team member * Conduct regular sales meetings to educate and train team members * Work independently of assigned Merchandisers to improve sales in key accounts * Call on priority accounts in open territories * Be aware of competitive activity that can adversely affect our sales efforts and devise a strategy to overcome it * Keep assigned team members advised of sales trends, promotions, special pricing, etc * Advise senior management of all problems and opportunities and recommend solutions * Understanding and ability to improve and to grow sales in all areas of the business * Provide timely and accurate reports to management  * Return phone calls, text messages and emails in a timely manner * Maintain a professional appearance at all times * Travel out of town with overnight stays to work with team members and perform resets * Able to work wine tasting, industry events, etc. (evenings and weekends if needed) * Ability to stay current with company brands, programs, initiatives, policies, and procedures  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Supervisory Techniques * Selling and negotiation skills * Interact with and effectively supervise different people * Make sound decisions regarding sales and personnel * Work independently and effectively in assigned area * PC literate with solid knowledge in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)  * Organization skills * Interact with internal and external contacts with professionalism and courtesy * Work with minimal supervision PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Sit for an extensive period of time  * Lift up to 45lbs. * Perform data entry tasks using standard computer equipment * Use hands to grasp, feel, move, reach or assemble  * Expressing ideas/instructions through spoken words (accurately, loudly) * Required to successfully pass a background and drug test WORK ENVIRONMENT:  * Limited noise level * Indoor climate * Outdoor climate / traveling to accounts PERSONAL AND PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:  * Dependable transportation with car insurance to company standards * Use of a safety cutter to cut card board boxes * Use of safety equipment when in production facility
