POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Manager of Educator Engagement, you will spearhead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of professional development and support initiatives for educators. You will collaborate with schools, community organizations, and funders to deliver workshops, mentorship, and resource development aimed at helping educators integrate equity-focused, inquiry-based STEM teaching approaches. By incorporating data collection and analysis into program design, you will evaluate the impact of these initiatives and drive evidence-based improvements to better support educators and students. Your leadership will play a critical role in transforming teaching practices, fostering systemic change, and empowering educators to create inclusive STEM learning environments that unlock the potential of all students, particularly those from underserved communities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5+ years of experience in program management, education, professional development delivery, or a related field, ideally within the nonprofit or education sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing educator-focused professional development, including online and in-person workshops, coaching, and resource development.
  • Strong understanding of equity issues in STEM education and culturally responsive, inquiry-based pedagogies.
  • Familiarity with the 2022 Ontario’s Revised Science and Technology curriculum and experience supporting educators in adapting
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with schools, educators, community organizations, and funders, as well as experience with customizing professional development to meet diverse educational contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and present data effectively, including preparing comprehensive reports for stakeholders and funders.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, able to balance multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholder needs effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex educational concepts to various audiences and coaching educators through change.
  • Comfortable leveraging productivity, project management, and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Asana), and willing to explore AI tools to enhance program efficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of professional development workshops, co-facilitation sessions, and curriculum-aligned resource creation, ensuring that training materials and activities reflect equity principles, inquiry-based learning, and the revised 2022 Ontario Science and Technology curriculum.
  • Collaborate closely with schools, educators, community organizations, and funders to identify needs, establish partnerships, and customize workshop content to address specific challenges faced by diverse student populations.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including workshop scheduling, content delivery (in-person and online), participant recruitment, and resource distribution.
  • Collect, analyze, and present data on program metrics and outcomes to inform ongoing enhancements and measure the long-term impact of educator engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare clear and detailed reports for funders, stakeholders, and internal purposes, using program data to communicate progress and insights effectively.
  • Mentor and support team members involved in developing and delivering educator-focused programming, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, new partnerships, or expanded funding streams that support the growth and sustainability of educator engagement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with donor and funder requirements, maintaining transparent and accountable processes in resource allocation and program reporting.
