Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance, the Manager, Election Compliance will:

  • Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of statewide election compliance operations for major election events.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training and coordination of a large compliance workforce, including investigators, supervisors and coordinators.
  • Develop and embed systems, tools and procedures for triaging, referring and resolving compliance matters across VEC’s field and command centre operations.
  • Provide strategic advice and leadership to ensure compliance approaches align with legislation, investigative frameworks, and regulatory best practice.
  • Manage day-to-day engagement with key stakeholders including other regulators, local councils and integrity bodies

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Proven experience in regulatory operations, including interpreting and applying legislation in complex investigative settings.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale operational programs across distributed or fast-paced environments.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to lead compliance teams under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities to support real-time decision making.
