Mō te Tūranga | About the Role As an Employee Relations Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and protecting IAG’s reputation through strategic, compliant, and people-focused leadership. You’ll lead a team of advisors and specialists to manage a variety of complex employee relations matters as well as collective agreement negotiations, policy changes, mergers and acquisitions and legal proceedings, ensuring alignment with legislation and internal standards. You’ll be a confident and effective communicator, both written and verbal, trusted to engage across the business, deliver training and represent IAG at the Employment Relations Authority. With exposure to a wide variety of issues and stakeholders trans-Tasman, this is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on challenge, leads with purpose and is passionate about building a safe, inclusive and high-performing workplace. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid working conditions, based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). Ōu Pūkenga | About You ​Strong experience as a senior employee relations practitioner, ideally in a commercial organisation of significant complexity Proven ability to translate complex and technical employee relations issues into pragmatic and plain language solutions Experience working in an agile environment, exercising good judgment with incomplete information Strategic mindset – able to anticipate employee relations issues and take an active approach resolving them Courage and ability to challenge and influence stakeholders Demonstrated experience coaching and upskilling leaders and HR practitioners in employee relations issues Proven ability to actively keep abreast of changes in external environment and translate into internal environment Proven ability to work collaboratively across whole of function and broader group to reach common approach Applications close Tuesday, 21st October at 11:59pm.
