WHAT KIND OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU BRING WITH YOU?

  • Master degree in technology, engineering or other relevant disciplines.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, food processing or infant formula/nutritional products.
  • Experience in Project or Process Engineering and manufacturing maintenance.
  • Experience as a Manager with responsibility in engineering or manufacturing.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Process Industry or Packaging industry as a Technical Manager or Project Manager, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities

WHAT ARE YOU RESPONSIBLE FOR?

The Manager Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) provides engineering support for the plant. The scope is wide and includes Maintenance, Facilities, Capex projects, Manufacturing Automation, Process & Packaging Engineering for all plant areas and Technical Support Group - TSG (NEN1010 /ATEX /Calibration /Technical Documentation / Sprinkler/Utilities, Calibration, Facility Management).
The Manager M&E is part of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) and as Manager M&E indirect responsible for total ~70 Abbott. HC and direct manager of 6 Team Managers: Project Management, Process and Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing Automation, Maintenance Powder & Liquid dept. (2 managers), Manager TSG
The Manager M&E reports to the Site Director.

YOUR MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for Capital investment, Utility management, Maintenance Management, Facility Management, Process & Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing Automation.
  • Provide general engineering management to achieve plant goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for significant engineering capital and expense budgets.
  • Provide proper departmental staffing, training and development.
  • Develop the plant long range and short-range capital plans (Masterplan)
  • Develop short- and long-range goals for engineering.
  • Talent development in all layers of your organization; be future ready.
  • Manage the engineering change control system.
  • Manage contractors and vendors executing work in the facility.
  • Assure all needed engineering records and documents are properly maintained.
  • Manage the annual plant shutdown planning and coordination.
  • Assure utilities are provided to plant operations at all times.
  • Make sure that all your departments continuously improve, don’t accept status quo.
