Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities   * Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives to enhance yield, quality, capacity, and cost performance. * Lead engineering teams in troubleshooting, corrective actions, SPC-based process control, and major quality or production issues. * Support NPI/NPT teams in prototype builds, qualification runs, and timely release of new processes. * Manage engineering documentation, team development, cross-training, and performance management. Education & Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronic, or Materials Engineering (or equivalent). * Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience, including 3+ years in a leadership/managerial role. * Experience in manufacturing environments; semiconductor experience is a plus. * Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results through others. Skills   * Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities in complex engineering environments. * Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional teams, and work effectively in a global, multicultural setting. * Knowledge of SMT processes and key manufacturing technologies (e.g., solder printing, high-temperature furnace). * Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for influencing and resolving issues. * Ability to drive process automation and system improvements. * Strong communication skills, capable of leading discussions and preparing technical documents and reports. Working Conditions * Manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, machine oils, and production equipment. * Requires frequent presence on the production floor for monitoring, troubleshooting, and team supervision. * Must operate in a dynamic environment with rapid changes and high expectations for problem resolution. * Mental alertness and strong visual attention required for process oversight and engineering analysis. Physical Requirements * Ability to stand, walk, and move across production areas for extended periods. * Capability to interact with manufacturing equipment and handle engineering tools/materials as needed. * Ability to follow EH&S requirements and use personal protective equipment (PPE). * Must perform detailed visual inspections and work with fine-scale components when required.
