POSITION SUMMARY

We’re on a mission to reinvent the financial system and make it work for people. We seek an experienced professional to lead a full-stack engineering team comprising backend and mobile engineers. This position is based in our Palo Alto HQ and will require hybrid work with in-office days 2+ days a week. The Palo Alto base salary range for this full-time position is $224,600 - $274,500 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

As a Software Engineering Manager for our Early Bets team, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to designing and developing some of our early-stage innovative products. You will work with your cross-functional partners and team to shape the direction of these products and contribute to making them significant drivers for the company. Responsibilities
  • Work with the leadership across EarnIn to deliver our mission: build a financial system that works for everyday people
  • Be a strong partner to product and other engineering teams to drive improvements to business metrics and build new features. Examples include improving user acquisition metrics, cross and upsell products and improving user experience
  • Create a roadmap and drive its implementation with your team across the company
  • Guide the team through ambiguity and ensure technical excellence through rapid experimentation cycles.
  • Guide team to strong execution — prioritize ruthlessly, make pragmatic decisions, and guide teams to launch MVPs quickly and iterate based on feedback.=
  • Lead team through frequent pivots and evolving priorities in a fast changing environment.
  • Dig into the code when required! You should be technical enough to help your team with issues requiring senior guidance
  • Recruit other great engineers for your team and help in the recruiting efforts for other teams
  • Be a mentor and coach for the engineers in your team and help them advance their careers by enabling them to do the best work of their lives
  • Provide technical leadership to developers in your team and the engineering organization
  • Manage cross-functional relationships with all teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Support the team in maintaining a robust level of stability while continuing to execute at great speeds
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives at EarnIn
